A CLINICAL TRIAL OF HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH) IN REDUCING BODY FAT, INCREASED LIBIDO AND INDURANCE .

INTRODUCTION:

Several studies have demonstrated the effects of human growth hormone (hgh) and elevating insulin growth factor- 1 (IGF-1), improving healing time, decreased total body fat , increased lean muscle mass, improved cholesterol and several other effects just to name a few: The role of hGH on growth, IGF-1 and metabolic effects have been well documented. Bookshelves are buckling from the weight of studies on hGH and aging. Many of these studies revealed that hGH injections over periods of three to eleven months resulted in a feeling of well being with the subsequent compositional changes and therapeutic benefits. Sometimes referred to as the “Master Hormone”.hGH or somatotrophin  is a protein of about 191 amino acids synthesized in the interior pituitary gland HGH is the most abundant hormone produced by the pituitary gland. It’s production peaks during the rapid growth of adolescence, declining with age. 

METHODS:

Five adults ( four males ages; 26, 43, 48, 50 and one female age 50)were given Physicians Blend hGH and followed for a six month period. Medical histories of the males were unremarkable for hypertension , high cholesterol, diabetes, cancer, degenerative joint diseases, blood diseases, chronic infections, liver disease or endocrinopathies. The female subject has a positive history of hypertension (being treated), high cholesterol (under treatment) and 19 kilograms overweight. The subjects were given very specific instructions as to the amounts, times, and route of delivery. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Physician’s Blend is an authentic human growth hormone. Their product is a 191 amino acids chain identical to the growth hormone produced by the human body. Physician’s Blend Advanced matrix oral mist is produced in the United Sates by an FDA certified laboratory and is registered with the FDA. Their hGH product ratio is 3 times more potent than any other oral spray available. INGREDIENTS: Somatotrophin (HGH) 10x/30x, purified water, 10% USP alcohol and 8% vegetable glycerin. INSTRUCTIONS ON USAGE: Subjects were instructed to take three sprays under the tongue three times per day. Subjects were asked to administer the spray between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.; between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. and between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. for five consecutive days with two days off. This protocol as continued for six weeks. Each month he subjects were weighed serum cholesterol obtained and blood pressure taken. The subjects were then interviewed to ascertain overall health in terms of endurance, sleep patterns, and frequency of sex. During the study the subjects maintained their eating habits (diets) and physical activities, i.e., no appreciable change in habits or life style. 

RESULTS:

In the male subjects there was no increase in weight. Each subject ended the study at a reduced weight, i.e. no net weight gain. Each male maintained a normal blood pressure, i.e. no significant change. Serum cholesterol remained relatively unchanged, however one male subject (age 48) cholesterol dropped (158 mg/dl to 122 mg/dl), the other male subjects showed a slight decrease. A subjective questionnaire asking of frequency and quality of sex and endurance were examined. Each subject experienced an increase in frequency of sex (0-2 to 4-5 times per week). The males of 48 and 51 years of age obtained a frequency of sex equal to that of the younger male. Similarly, the males 48 and 51 expressed more restful sleep patterns and an overall feeling of well being. The female subject discontinued the regiment after two. Subject started new medication for high cholesterol and hypertension. 

CONCLUSION:

Physician’s Blend oral HGH appears to have some therapeutic effects, although it might be just psychological. The subjects that maintained the regiment over a six month period began to “feel better”, increase sex drive and their weight was moving in the right direction – down. A study by Rudman et.al.,(NEJM 323:1-6 July 5, 1990) demonstrated the effectiveness of biosynthetic hGH in men over 60 when given subcutaneously . K.R. Kim et.al.,(Hormone Research 1999, vol. 51(2) using low dose hGH injections and diet restriction conducted a study which demonstrated a decrease in apidose tissue, increase in lean body mass and elevation in IGF-1.Sublingual administration of hGH, three sprays, three times a day for five days over a period of six months appears to have had a positive effect on libido, body weight and self esteem. Clearly, a more rigorous study is needed. A study that would involve more extensive tests and objective evaluations with  a larger population.
